Activated Clay is absorbent aluminum phyllosilicate clay. Phyllosilicate minerals belong to the mica and chlorite groups.
Activated clay is also a greener alternative to desiccants as it is mined with an eye to protecting the environment, and takes considerably less energy to produce. Clay desiccants are created by the controlled drying of calcium natural clay.
Activated Clay Sachets are chemically inactive, non-corrosive and all-natural clay. It attracts and binds water molecules to its vast inner and outer surface area, making the adsorption capacity of sachets considerable, even at low humidity levels. As the relative humidity in a container increases, the adsorption capacity of sachets also increases.
